Wounded Warriors of the Cross
Pastoral and clergy mental health is a mostly ignored area, especially by those who live their lives as pastors in the clergy. The stigma of mental health within those who serve in the shadow of the cross is something that invokes the stigma of fear. Many of those in the clergy will choose to suffer in their despair rather than reaching out for help. Sometimes those suffering choose to wait until it's too late to get the real help that they need. At Wounded Warriors of the Cross our mission is to lift the stigma and the veil of silence that encompasses clergy mental health and assist those who suffer in silence. Wounded Warriors of the Cross is here to shed the light of Christ's love into those dark places.

Episode 22: Rubber meets the Road Pastoral Conversations: Pastor Dennis Dufon
The idiom "where the rubber meets the road" represents the point at which a theory or idea is put to the test in real-world situations. It refers to the moment when we move from planning or talking about something to actually doing it.
Understanding the theories or ideas of pastoral care dealing with mental health and wellness issues goes beyond planning and talking about the problems and issues we all face living in the shadow of the cross to how we actually come through these situations. In this monthly pastoral conversation series, we will be discussing how pastors have faced adversity and have moved through them to living in the joy of serving our Lord and His Church. This month we will be speaking with Pastor Dennis Dufon who serves an LCMS congregation on Drummond Island in the upper peninsula (UP) of Michigan.
